The 91-year-old faces charges over an alleged failure to declare to HMRC overseas assets worth more than £400m, the Crown Prosecution Service said on Monday. Simon York, director of fraud investigation service at HMRC, said the charges followed a “complex and worldwide criminal investigation”. Ecclestone has an estimated net worth of £2.5bn.
